Abstract Submission Guidelines

General Information & Deadlines

  1. Abstract MUST be submitted electronically via the Online Submission system by the given deadline 29 January 2016.
    Abstracts received via fax, e-mail or received after the deadline will not be accepted and therefore will not be considered for the programme or publication.
  2. Abstract can be submitted into 7 main sessions:
    • Session 1: Multiple Environmental Stressors and Health Status as a Variant of Disease: POPs, metals, mixtures, new and emerging pollutants
    • Session 2: Understanding of Population Health Impacts of Exposure Science
    • Session 3: Sustainable Exposure Prevention through Innovative Detection and Remediation Technologies
    • Session 4: Preventing Environmental Disease through Multi-Level Interventions

    • Session 5: Policies Associated with Prevention: Public and Global Health Perspectives

    • Session 6: Adverse Effects of Engineered and Combustion Generated Nanoparticles
    • Session 7: Special Topics Related to Environmental Pollution and Health
  3. A preferred presentation method should be selected during the submission from the following options:
    • Oral presentation
    • Poster presentation
    • Oral or poster presentation
  4. You can also claim to be a trainee, PhD student or Pos Doc (postdoctoral researcher), or you can apply for the travel award by describing your financial needs and ways in which your attendance of CEECHE 2016 will positively impact your career goals. Travel assistance will be decided by a Travel Award Selection Committee that will review the abstracts and assign assistance based on merit and need. Authors will be notified by February 15, 2016 if they are selected for a travel award.
  5. Once the abstract is submitted it can no longer be changed unless the change is requested in written and sent to the Conference Secretariat. Changes are only accepted until the abstract submission deadline 29 January 2016.
  6. All abstracts will be reviewed by the CEECHE 2016 Scientific Committee, who will consider its formal aspects and the content. They will decide which abstracts will be accepted and may reconsider the final presentation type.
  7. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book. Abstracts not suitable for display will be rejected. Please have your abstract checked for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and formal structure. The organiser reserves the right to edit abstracts if necessary prior to the publication in the Abstract Book.  
  8. All submitters and presenting authors will receive an acceptance/rejection notification via e-mail by 15 February 2016.
  9. All presenting authors are obliged to register by 29 February 2016.

Abstract Formatting

  1. All abstracts must be written in English.
  2. When submitting your abstract, consider and choose the scientific topic and the preferred presentation method.
  3. The abstract title is limited by 20 words and must be submitted using the Sentence case (eg. This is the title of my abstract)
  4. Up to 10 authors incl. the presenting author can be included. The presenting author is selected first; other authors can be added only when the presenting author is submitted. However, the authors order could be changed if needed by swopping the names at the list of the co-authors. The first name is considered to be the main author.
  5. Maximum abstract length is 300 words.
  6. No pictures/tables/charts are allowed within the abstract text.
