The Central and Eastern European Conference on Health and Environment (CEECHE 2016) will be held April 10 – 14, 2016 in Prague, Czech Republic. Since 2004, CEECHE conferences have been held biannually at venues across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The main purpose of CEECHE is to exchange knowledge about new methods for addressing and assessing environmental health risks that are relevant to central and eastern European regions. The overarching objective of CEECHE 2016 is to facilitate scientific exchange within an emerging prevention paradigm, better define the complex but common links between health and environment particularly within CEE countries, and enable use of shared understandings of current research. The meeting focus spans population health impacts including insights into the exposome and epigenetic impacts, environmental disease prevention strategies including lifestyle factors, environmental remediation technologies and risk assessment, policy implications, and next-generation scientific leadership. A major emphasis of this conference will be to encourage trainees and junior scientists to share their data, engage broadly with the scientific community of all levels, and participate in career discussions. Importantly, trainees and early-career scientists will meet established investigators within an international context to exchange ideas and initiate scientific collaborations. The conference will include several plenary addresses, seven (7) research sessions and two (2) panel discussions. Please check the summaries of each of the research sessions on our website.
The Hotel Diplomat (Prague, Czech Republic) will host CEECHE 2016, including all conference related activities, as well as participant lodging. This 4-star hotel is located next to the metro station and is in walking distance to the Prague Castle. The historic city center as well as the Vaclav Havel Airport can also be reached quickly and easily.
We are looking forward to seeing you here!
