The 9th European Evaluation Society International Conference
October 6 - 8, 2010, Prague, Czech Republic

Welcome Letters

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to attend the European Evaluation Society’s next international conference in the stunning and vibrant city of Prague.

At the end of this first decade of the 21st century, in a world buffeted by events that affect us all and facing a future that will challenge humanity, can evaluation make a difference?

I believe that this is the question that we should all be asking ourselves and our communities of practise. This conference will give us an opportunity to come together to explore, debate and learn in a propitious setting.

So please mark your calendars, attend, present and participate in what promises to be THE not-to-be-missed event of the year for evaluation in Europe and internationally.

European Evaluation Society

Dear Evaluators,

Under the overarching theme " Evaluation in the Public Interest: Participation, Politics and Policy" the EES has launched a call for proposals for its Biennial Conference. This event will be hosted in the beautiful city Prague in Czech Republic, between 6 and 8 October 2010.

The event will comprise 2 days of professional development workshops, 4 – 5 October 2010, followed by 2.5 days of the main conference. The conference will have a combination of plenary sessions and five streams of parallel sessions that may take the form of paper presentations, panel discussions or roundtables.

This conference will be the major international evaluation event of the year 2010 and should not be missed. It offers you the perfect opportunity to meet colleagues in the international field of Evaluation and exchange ideas.

October 2010 will be an ideal time to visit Prague, one of the cultural centres of Europe that  was listed in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register. Visitors can enjoy its historical monuments, castles, chateaux and beautiful and diverse nature of the Czech Republic.

We look forward to receiving your conference submissions and seeing you in Prague.
