On behalf of 34th FEBS Congress Organising Committee,
it is our great pleasure to announce the Students´ Conference,
which will be held on July 4, 2009 in the Prague Congress Centre (Congress Venue).

Aims of the Conference

  • To enhance interest of young people in studying life sciencesOV
  • To facilitate students to meet prominent scientists
  • To show students how research can contribute in improvement of life quality
  • To help students to start contacts with friends, equal in age and interests, from other European countries
  • To make possible students to present their work at important scientific forum and thus to increase their self-confidence and courage to continue in their scientific effort
  • To present students the main trends in biochemical research in a introductory lecture presented them by an outstanding university teacher
  • To help them to discover the environment of the most important event of European biochemists

 

Students' Conference Programme

10.00 - 13.00 Registration in the regular Congress participants place and mounting of the posters in the corridor near Club C, 1st floor
13.00 - 13.15 Official opening of the Student’s Conference and general information (Club C, 1st floor)
13.15 - 14.30 Presentation of the posters (Presenters will answers the questions of committee members and audience)
14.30 - 15.00 1st lecture:
M. Kodí?ek: The Story of the Contemporary Biochemistry
15.00 - 15.30 2nd lecture:
V. Pa?es: Human and Chimpanzee: Comparative Genomics
15.30 - 16.00 Evaluation and closing of the Conference
16.30 Participation in the Opening Ceremony of the FEBS Conference
