Abstract Submission Walkthrough

Online Abstract submission process step by step.

Login / Create an account page

You will be asked to create an account. This account will be used for registration, accommodation booking and submitting of abstract.

After filling the requested information, you will receive confirmation email with your login information. If you have already created an account, please use your "User name" and "Password" to log in.

In case you have forgotten your password, you can request it's resetting - click 'Forgot password'. You will receive your new password by email.

1) Abstract submission guidelines page

For submitting a new abstract, please go to the bottom of the page, confirm the guidelines acceptance and click the 'Submit New Abstract' button. If you already have submitted an abstract, you can edit it using 'Edit' button.

2) Address page

Please note that the submitter can vary from the Presenting author. In case you are submitter and presenting author, proceed to the next page using 'Next step' button.

In case you are submitting an abstract on behalf of someone else (presenting author is different from submitter), please click 'Change presenting author' button and fill in the presenting auhor's details. Then please fill in his profile details. It is very important that the congress department does have the contact information to the actual presenting person.

3) Abstract info page

Please select you abstract theme and answer all questions.

Maximum length of your biography is 150 words.

4) Abstract title page

Add your abstract title in the text field. Title should not be more than 20 words.

5) Text page

Add your abstract text. Note that you can paste the text from MS Word including formating - select the text in MS Word, press CTRL+C, go to the submission website and the 'Paste from Word' button (W icon) will appear active - click it to paste your data.

Maximum length of the abstract is:

  • for the poster and/or oral presentation 300 words
  • for the debate and/or workshop 1000 words

Please note no photos, pictures or graphs are permitted.

6) Co-Authors page

The presenting author selected in step 2) is automatically prefilled and the checkbox 'is first (i.e. presenting) author' is checked. If you agree that this presenting author will be first in the authors and co-authors list, click the 'Add' button. Then you can add co-authors of your abstract. Fill next co-authors data and click "Add" button.

The added authors can be revieved, edited or deleted from the list at the top of the page.

At the bottom of the page you can see the "Formated co-authors" - this is the way they will be published in the Abstract book.

Please note only 3 co-authors are allowed.

7) Overview page

You can overview your abstract here.

At the bottom of the page, you can see the "SAVE AND CLOSE" button. This button will save the abstract to the database.

Your abstract will be available for edit later on but not later than the abstract submission deadline - 5 April 2013.
