Your registration will be submitted automatically together with your abstract submission. 

Please note that abstracts MUST be submitted electronically and according to the instructions (for more information please go to abstract submission) and by the specified deadline of 22nd January 2009. Registration and abstracts submitted by fax or by email will not be accepted. 

Registration or abstracts received after the deadline cannot be accepted and therefore will not be considered as valid. 

Please note the following conditions that apply to Applicants for eligibility for the 9th FEBS Young Scientists´ forum:

All Applicants should

1. either be registered as a student at an institute of higher learning in a country where there is a FEBS Constituent Society or in a country that is FEBS Associated Member or be within five years of having completed their PhD, 

2. be a member of a FEBS Constituent Society or FEBS Associated Member - Please note that proof of your membership will be required, with the need for copy of verification (e.g. letter from Society Secretariat) to be sent by email attachment or via fax to the YSF Secretariat, at the time of registration and abstract submission.

3. not have received a grant from the FEBS Youth Travel Fund for attendance at a FEBS Advanced Course in the current year,

4. submit an abstract as a first author- which on acceptance will be used for an oral (if selected) or poster presentation,

Travel grant - 

Awards will only be made to Participants travelling from their current country of residence to Prague, and the amount received will reflect the distance travelled to the venue of the YSF.

Please note that should you be travelling from overseas, you will only obtain a travel grant reimbursing your travel expenses from your home country to Prague.

Please note that Participants from Eastern and Central European Countries will receive a grant to cover up to 100% of their travel expenses. Participants from Western European Countries will receive a grant to cover up to 80% of their travel expenses. Please make sure to optimalise your travel expenses by finding the cheapest solutions available. All travel grants will be assessed individually.

After your successful registration and the acceptance of your abstract (after 22 January, 2009), you will receive a grant application form to be filled in. Please note that should you not returned the completed form, no grant award will be made.
